Wednesday afternoon allows delegates to experience some of the amazing activities the Rotorua region is well known for. You can read about each activity below and select which one you would like to join in the registration process. Please note Separate costs do apply.
What began as a special treat for a brave few has developed into an incredible and unique caving tour that gives visitors the chance to weave, jump, climb, and float through a glowworm-studded subterranean wonderland at Waitomo Caves. Visitors can jump off cascading underground waterfalls as experienced and trained guides take you safely through the stunning underworld of Ruakuri Cave.
After you’ve discovered true adventure in Waitomo, warm up with a hot shower and treat yourself to some hot soup on bagels, on us. You will then be transferred to Waitomo Homestead for a delicious hot spit roast meal.

HAMILTON GARDENS & WAIKATO RIVER CRUISE
The spectacular Hamilton Gardens are a visual feast for every photosynthesis scientist. Take a wander around the gardens for approximately 90mins and absorb the sights and smells of native and eoxotic plants and visited the themed gardens, then jump aboard a Catamaran for a 90min cruise showing off Heartland New Zealand between Hamilton Gardens and The Narrows, near Mystery Creek. Highlights include the waterfall in The Narrows, amazing riverside estates, native bush and bird life. All cruises return to Hamilton Gardens. A traditional kiwi BBQ will be served on board.

HOBBITON - MIDDLE EARTH
The tour of Hobbiton takes around 1.5 hours before arriving at the Green Dragon Inn. Each group will be escorted to the set by one of our tour guides who will then share with the guests the story of Hobbiton; how it was built and a few tricks of the trade from the film industry. Throughout the set we have 44 complete Hobbit Holes, The Mill, Double Arch Stoned Bridge and The Green Dragon Inn kept as they were during filming. The tour then concludes at the Green Dragon, our fully themed venue for your complimentary beverage.

Te Puia spans 70 hectares within the historic Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, on the edge of Rotorua. Home to the world famous Pōhutu geyser, mud pools, hot springs and silica formations. No only will you get to view Pōhutu will get also view the native Kiwi bird, watch and interact with master craftsman and women while they carve wood, stone and bone carving and weave. you will also visit Rotowhio Marae your evening will end with a buffet dinner sampling some of the finest hangi food.
